The big one. An early Nintendo-era Donkey Kong plush standing a full 18 inches measured — the large version, not the small Donkey Kong that turns up in most vintage toy boxes. Brown shag plush body, tan chest panel, the classic barrel graphic across the front, and molded vinyl face, hands and feet.
The body is the good news. The brown plush is still rich and full with no bald patches, the molded face has held its shape and colour, and the barrel graphic on the chest is bright and fully legible.
Now the honest part, and read it before you buy. The vinyl has broken away on the tops of both feet. One foot is open right across the instep — a large section of material is simply gone and the white stuffing inside is visible. The other has a hole punched through near the ankle plus two smaller spots near the toes where the vinyl has cracked through. Both feet are photographed up close, last two pictures.
Straight on from the front, sitting or standing on a shelf, he presents beautifully and you do not see any of it. From above, you do. That is the trade — a large early Donkey Kong with real shelf presence, at a price that reflects two damaged feet.
